The East European Accuracy League Hrubieszow 2026 Hrubieszow and Metelin, 31.07-02.08.2026

We can say that we are moving forward. We did this year what we couldn’t do last year. We started the East European Accuracy League Hrubieszów 2026 competition with jumping in Metelin. Not entirely according to plan, but it turned out for the better. The plan was for the jumpers to land on a plane landing area. In practice, landing skydivers and planes in the same area turned out to be difficult to reconcile. Our co-organizers of the competition, Henryk Nowak and his family, came to the rescue and the landing place for the competitors was decided on the property of Katarzyna and Grzegorz Nowak. And the plane could – separated, without waiting for the jumpers to land – land on the Bogdan Jasina landing field. This is how we jumped on Friday, July 31. On Saturday and Sunday (August 1-2) everything went as planned. The plane with the jumpers took off from Metelin, and the jumpers landed on the training pitch of the Hrubieszow Sports and Recreation Center. Well, maybe everything… We had a crop failure due to the weather. It was so good that temperatures even at an altitude of 1,000 meters above the ground threatened to overheat the plane and jumps had to be stopped during the period of the highest temperatures. And this despite the fact that Mariusz Taran, an excellent pilot, did everything he could with his Cessna 182 to maintain continuity of flying. This was the reason that we managed to complete only five rounds of jumping.

Thirty competitors of both sexes took part in the competition, which is one more than last year. For the first time in the history of EEAL Polska, a competitor from Finland took part. Apart from him, competitors from Hungary, Poland and Sweden also took part. Five female and twenty-five male took part, so there were separate individual classifications. It can be said that the competition was won by the Hungarians, they stood on the highest steps of the podium in two of the three classifications. Istvan Asztalos won the men’s individual classification. Nandor Toth won the silver medal. Both players from the Hungarian team HUNGARY SZOLNOK. The bronze medal was won by our best competitor – here representing the 2nd Reconnaissance Regiment in the 2HPR team – Rafal Zgierski. The women’s classification was won by Ewa Wesolowska, unrivaled in this league season. It was her third podium in three competitions. Kamila Walczak took second place and Irena Paczek-Krawczak took third place. Of course, all from the parachute section of WKS WAWEL. And since we had two players from HUNGARY SZOLNOK in the top two places individually, no one was surprised that this team won the team classification. The second team was 2HPR and the third was WKS WAWEL. All results can be found on the league website at www.eeal.eu.
